At Swissbel-Inn Bogor, the building mass is designed to maximize lighting in almost all rooms. The long sides are positioned facing north and south to reduce solar heat. The lobby is the main reception space for Hotel visitors. As a first impression maker, the lobby must have the best spatial experience. The passive design concept is applied to the lobby to save on electrical energy usage. Here, a lot of hot air comes from the metal roof, diverted by air moving through the air holes in the roaster. So even without AC, the lobby feels cool and comfortable.
