White Waves in Station of Universitas Indonesia

There is a plan to renovate the old station of Universitas Indonesia in Depok. The UI logo, namely Makara, inspires the design of this building. It is a combination of trees that symbolize science and water which supports science (trees) growth. Therefore, the roof is wavy. Apart from that, circulation in the building is designed to be as comfortable as possible for all levels of society, including the disabled and the elder people. The open space concept is also applied here to minimize energy use while bringing people closer to the natural surroundings. This station consists of two floors. Downstairs, there are shops and public facilities. The public prayer room and office are on the top floor.
