The concept of this tropical building mass follows the circular shape of the land. In the middle, there is the existing building at the center of the circle and the (old) library building at the outer line of the circle. The central point (existing building) and the circle form a natural geometry that creates a nuance of 'central' or 'sacred' significance and on the outline of the circle as a 'protector' so that the existence of the existing building needs to be visible visually, the 'center' can be experienced and the protector felt visually. mental and physical. The ILRC building is designed to serve broader functions, namely university research functions and public functions. The surface of the ground floor and roof becomes a vegetation space as a response to environmentally friendly aspects and space facilities for relaxing (destressing), considering that 'research' activities require a lot of time and energy. The outer facade (outer circle) in the form of a glass construction (glazed facade) functions to receive reflected light from the ground surface
