Singkawang Grand Mall is the only mall in Singkawang City which is located in West Kalimantan Province, about 145 km north of Pontianak City. This building consists of 5 mall floors and 7 hotel floors. The very Chinese culture of the city of Singkawang becomes an inspiration for the building design. The main concept of the design is the Dragon. This is applied to layout design. The mass is arranged following the curve of the dragon's body. Its scales are depicted in the alternating colors of the hotel's facade. Inside, the shop faces are designed so that they can be seen from the atrium.
