Masterplan of Palangkarya City
This competition was held by IAI in October 2017 and ended in January 2018. This competition aims to obtain building and environmental planning ideas that can redefine the Pancasila Great Roundabout Area - Isen Mulang Palace - Monument for the Piling of the First Pillar in the city of Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. In this competition, we succeeded in getting first place by presenting design and spatial planning ideas that suit the needs of the city as the center of government, as well as by building a spatial concept based on the characteristics/locality and history of the city itself. According to the IAI website, historically, the area was designed with a symmetry concept pivoting on the Pancasila Grand Roundabout with the Monument for the Laying of the First Stone for the Development of the City of Palangka Raya as a mirror of the area. With this symmetry concept, the resulting city architecture refers, among other things, to axes and corner buildings. One of the complexes with an axis concept is the Mulang Iseng Palace complex.
